Where can you find the most complete Ford VIN/Build Info decoder online? Sometimes I help my friend who's a mobile mechanic order parts that sometimes needs to know specific information. It's always a hassle to call the local Ford dealers because most of the time they're too busy to help or just don't want to. I know the Ford dealer will have the most complete build info decoder. I tried FordEtis home page which I found in another thread someone asking. Which it's pretty helpful but it doesn't go back past 1992-1993 and it seems it depends on what kind of Ford vehicle it is. Just sometimes when we need to order parts it may ask specifics like wheel size, maybe axle ratio, limited or non-limited slip, 2 or 4 wheel abs. He works on a lot of Fords and when getting price quotes for customers sometimes we need specific info like that. Is there any other good vin/build info source for at least Ford vehicles? The guys at the Chrysler and GM dealerships don't really mind looking up info but some reasons it's a bother to the Ford dealers here.

The VIN lookup I've used in the past is this one: Fleet Maintenance | fleet.ford.com

But they've changed their login requirements and I no longer quality. Maybe your mechanic friend can manage it.
