If you get it tuned, you can use a stock FPR that will last 25 years or more.

I don't feel like searching through the thread on my phone, but if it's speed density it won't be very easy to find someone to tune it...Need a different computer and a gm 3 bar map sensor for the boost, not impossible but it's just been too long since these have been relevant; not enough people are familiar with the setups required.

And tell me again how you adjust the fuel pressure with a stock regulator and also how can I tap in to get a fuel pressure reading?

Assuming you have a good tune, adjusting the FP may not be necessary if it is adequate for the application. Tapping somewhere else to get an FP sensor in is another dilemma.

You don't need to increase the fuel pressure with proper tuning.

I WANT to know what my fuel pressure is. The 460s fuel "log" does not allow for adapting a fuel pressure sender, that is why I went with the adjustable regulator which has a port.

YES, I know a small block fuel "log" you you can remove the schrader valve fitting and put the sender there. But the 460 one is welded in place

Try Kirban. Much better quality and fully rebuildable. Hi-po Mustang guys love them.

Ok, I got you have a bbk, but looking for a 460 spec unit on their site says no such item. But there are 2 sbf units, one 2 bolt, one 3. Then you get into the mods & returnless styles.

So.......

What model of the bbk brand regulator did you use?

You need a bbk 1707 for a factory 460 rail. This is the two hole mount, as opposed to the three hole bottom mounting early mustang version.

Earlier model 460's (like my 89) will take the 3 hole BBK 1706. Nobody that sells them say they will fit a 460, but lots of things fit things they are not supposed to. Probably some emissions law crap that keeps them from saying they will fit.
On a side note, I haven't had very good luck with my BBK's. Won't hold pressure after the engine is turned off and you can't get a rebuild kit that fits. I'm going to try a different brand but I'm not sure who yet.

Aeromotive is top notch. More than I'd spend myself, but after two failed units, I don't blame you

I think that's the one I'm going to go with too.
