95 gas guage stuck on e, wont run
Recently I noticed that my gas guage had went dead. The truck is almost filled up before it did go dead. After that truck started running poorly, then not at all. The fuses for fuel pump and relay are good, and I hear the pump kick on when I turn the key, although I'm not sure if it sounds different or not. Maybe tired sounding. I tried to spray either in the throttle body but I was alone and not sure it got in where its supposed to.
Also possibly unrelated is before the fuel problem one of the bolts holding my shifting tube in place came loose, and was acting like a broken shift tube. I fixed that, but I want to make clear the fuel guage and running issue presented itself before I touched anything. Strange coincidence, or maybe not?
And lastly... a couple hrs before any of these problems i powerwashed the underside of the truck. Ran and worked fine for a little bit.

Sound like either the fuel gauge wire is shorted to ground or the float sunk in the tank.
On the other problem this happens sometimes after washing the engine compartment. What happens with dry grease in the PCM plug the PCM will let smoke out. Then you have to replace the PCM. So take it out and open it up to see if any part on the PC board let smoke out.

I didn't wash the engine compartment just the underside. I do have spark and the engine will kick over on ether. Also I can hear the pump kick on when I turn the key. I read in some other threads about a fuel pump module near the spare tire that can get wet and act this way. My truck has dual tanks and I can't see anything

My front tank is always on E. Everything still works though besides the gauge. I know that doesnt help you but point is just because it reads E isn't the only reason it doesnt work. There is a brass float in there that's sunk but sounds like you have other issues like a gummed up pump or something
