This morning after starting my truck my security light (light with the car and padlock) began flashing with a pause. I read up a little and saw it is some type of immobilizer system an flashing means its armed, and will flash when the truck is off (I never see it flash when the truck is off).

As soon as I put the truck in gear it stopped flashing and didn't come on again. We will see what the ride home tonight brings. A few weeks ago I had kind of the same issue but with the airbag light. It was on all the way to work after start up (35 Minute drive). On the way home that evening it never came back on.

Starting to wonder if I have some type of electrical gremlin coming out.

 

Huh, that's odd, don't think I've heard of that one before.

Have you had any electrical work done recently?

 

I bought the truck approximately 4 months ago. The dealer i bought it from told me they did some brake work on the truck, but that's it. During my ownership I've done the slow-no-fill TSB, front calipers, tires and oil changes. Nothing electrical wise as of yet. Just fishy so far.

Currently has 107K miles.
