460 rocker arms

I am replacing the cam in my 460. Some how I bent the intake push rod on number 4, and wiped the exhaust lobe on the same cylinder. The guy installing my cam said that all the other cylinders had shims under the rocker except for number 4, is this normal...when I first pulled the intake off and found the bad rod and I did try replacing it and could have dropped the shim?

go here...460Ford.com and ask the question. You have bigger problems than a simple bent push rod.
