Motor>Cam>Gearing Question

Hey guys I have a 79 f150 with a 302 and currently a 3 speed manual that will be floor converted:
I am currently rebuilding the motor and am looking at a Competition Cams 260H (31-216-2) 212 duration @.500 lift and .447 valve lift.
Will this Camshaft work with my gearing? I assume it will not be an issue with pressed in studs either but just checking. Thank you.

it may help if you tell us your gearing and your tire size :-) along with some more details on the engine.

Tire size is p235 75r15, 3 speed gearing is 2.99, 1.75, and 1.00. Also the truck has a 9" rear end

With what axle ratio? That cam should work in the motor just fine, I'd say you would want more of a sporting axle ratio to take advantage of the motors powerband which will be 2000-5000rpm give or take. A bump in compression would help too, are you reusing the stock low compression smog heads or do you have something better?

Don't know about the 302 with pressed in studs and half inch lift but when I tried that on a 327 it pulled the studs out. Had to tap and thread them all.

It should be fine. Dad had almost that exact combination on his '75, exact same cam, stock heads etc. He ran an Edelbrock Performer and 600cfm Holley. It had 3.25 rear gears in the 9 inch and the 3 speed.
