REAL need of help...

1996 F350 291K (well maintained)
-stage 2 injectors 20K on them
im going to keep it as short as possible...
ok been noticing that my cooant level has been dropping ever so slightly and id top it off and didnt make much of it.
so a few weeks ago i started my truck and it had a VERY loud injector knock at start up... shut it down quickly. Well that issue hasnt come back again.
But ever sice that issue i had a slight shake in the engine. Almost like a cylinder wasnt firing. So i check the oil level and the level was 4+ inches above the oil fill line. so i drained about a qt of oil to see if i was getting coolant or fuel in the oil. i let it sit over night and didnt get any separation in fluids (did i have enough oil to determine mixed fluids?)
So i got the oil level back to normal by draing it to a perfect level.
i didnt drive it for two weeks. Well last night took it for a spin on the HWY and just happen to look in my rear mirror and i couldnt see a thing behind me...white smoke almost closed the HWY down. I pulled over to the side and the smoke stopped. So i continued to drive it home without any smoke issues. Take the exit and it stalled on me. Sat there for a bit restarted and drove it home only to stall out at a stop sign. Then i needed a tow because it wouldnt start back up. (CEL) light came on at that time.
Got it home and noticed the coolant was very low and my oil level was 4in over the fill line again.
one othe thing is that a have a fuel leak dripping of the back of the oilpan. i have efuel and cant find a leak.
hope my info helps

What did the white smoke smell like?
How well has your coolant system treated?
With that much over fill in the oil you would of notice if it was coolant or antifreeze. Hopefully its not cavitation..
Maybe your oil cooler is bad?

well the coolant system was not kept up with i admit.
i let it idle yesterday and the only thing i noticed was fuel leaking on the drive. It had a slight haze coming from the pipe but didnt really smell any funny. ( i could be wrong)
my question is did i get a big enough sample of oil to see separation?
thanks

Speaking of oilcooler...looks like the wire is burnt. Any idea what caused that?

Probably a short when it was plugged in.
When you said it didn't want to start was the engine spinning or just clicking like if it were batteries, might of hydrolock. Any amount of coolant in the system will show butyou have to drain all of the oil out.

If you are getting coolant in the oil pan, the coolant will turn the oil a milky color. A qt. drained into a container should be enough to see if there will be any separation in the liquids. To see if you are getting coolant in the oil pan, after the truck has sat overnight, loosen the drain plug until it is about ready to fall out. If coolant is present , it will leak out around the loosened plug.

When i went to start the engine it was not clicking.
I wanted to go but it sounded like the batts were weak.
Starter and batts are new (interstate)
If i try to start it now it does the same thing.
What does "hydrolock" mean?

whatever is in the oil pan should not be watery, especially at 25 degrees. The oil, if you are using 15W40, should be fairly thick at 25 and no where near the viscosity of water. Look up blackstone labs and they will send an oil test kit.

Hydrolock means theres is liquid in the cylinder and wont let the engine spin, theres a better explanation but you get the point. If the coolant has not been kept up your oil cooler might be compromise, start with the cheapest wich is the oil cooler O rings, inspect the oil cooler for any clear evidence of any damage.

I would pressure check the cooling system first.

You need a coolant pressure tester that you can hook to the degas bottle. You take the cap off and pressurize the system. You can probably rent one at autozone or the like (unsure but would think so).
