2007 Ford Edge ABS, Traction Control, and wrench lights on.
Hey guys. 2007 Ford Edge AWD with 110,000 miles. Wife was leaving for church this morning and the ABS, Traction Control, and wrench light came on. She went on to church and they stayed on. When she left church, as she was pulling up to a stop sign, she said it made the noise it makes when the ABS is activated. Not sure if it actually activated or not. When she got home I pulled it in the shop and hooked up my Auto Enginuity and pulled these codes...
C1155 Wheel Speed Sensor LF Input circuit failure
C1145 Wheel Speed Sensor RF Input circuit failure
C1140 Hydraulic Base Brake Failure
Tried to clear the codes, but AE said the vehicle would not allow me to clear them. I unhooked the Neg battery terminal, and removed both the front wheel speed sensors. I cleaned and inspected the sensors and tone rings, and put the sensors back on. Hooked the Neg battery cable back up, and the lights are still on. Drove the car, and the brakes feel a little stiff. I replaced the front wheel bearings over a year ago, and the rear wheel bearing assemblies less than a year ago. I can't see both front sensors going bad at the exact same time, so I'm thinking it is something else. Not sure what the C1140 code means. I have searched for some info on that code, but haven't found much. If anyone has had any experience with an issue like this, any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I worked on a small Pontiac last summer that had both front wheel codes come on at same time....... passenger side wires run in a harness under the transmission / radiator to the drivers side and meet, then run up to the ABS- master cylinder area... harness plug in that area was wet/ strained ( pulled partly apart) ...... something to consider is the harness since BOTH wheel codes came on together.. and I don't know what the hydraulic brake code is,but I picture a switch / wires also in the same area as the ABS valve / master cylinder.
