A tip on paint identification.

A tip on paint identification.
I've seen several threads with people asking to identify the color of their vehicle so I thought I'd pass this on in a separate thread. The inside of my 68 F100 is factory Holly Green but the outside was repainted several years ago by a previous owner who used a slightly different green. I didn't know that until I bought some touch up paint and found out it didn't quite match. Enter my local Auto Paint and Parts store guy. He has an instrument that can "read" a wide range of wavelengths in the paint spectrum and he was able to perfectly match the outside color. It's GM Woodland Green. They also have the ability to sell whatever color you need in a spray can. Perfect for touch up. If you need to match a color check with a good local Auto Paint and Parts shop and see if they have this instrument. If anyone needs to know exactly what that device is called I can run over to their shop and find out. Here's a picture of my GM Woodland Green truck.
