Draining Transmission Oil

Draining Transmission Oil
Hey everyone, I wanted to change the transmission oil in my truck but apparently it's the one that doesn't have a drain plug and you have to suck the oil out through the filler hole, unless there is an easier way that someone knows of, I read that online somewhere... It's a manual 4-speed warner t- something or other, truck is an 85 f-150 with a 302

I don't know that it matters for these purposes, but if you ask me, I'm not certain that's a Borg Warner T-something. At least one originally used by Ford.
Both of the Borg Warner T-somethings Ford used contained both fill & drain plugs (353051-S in the images):
The New Process 435 also had them (but I'm not gonna include pictures, too much work).
If that's in fact a BW T-something, wouldn't it be possible that it's from a Jeep or International Harvester? Which perhaps doesn't have that drain hole (at least not where us Ford guys are expecting it)? It *is* red, and Ford never painted their drivetrain red to my knowledge (but POs have been known to do all sorts of stuff in the name of style and design). See this link for more info on who used that transmission:

If you really want to be sure of what you have, go find the casting/ID/tag numbers on the thing and Google them and ask it how to service the puppy... but if all you want to do is drain and replace the oil, I don't know what to tell ya, dude... you might be able to remove the shifter assembly and somehow fit a small, flexible tube into there and pump/siphon it out, assuming you can get that tube to the bottom of the casting.
I don't see a PTO cover, you could remove that and let it drain out of that, too, if you have one... that red thing there doesn't look like anything I remember seeing...
I don't know how removing a bolt from the tail shaft cover will do much, I'd think you'd need to loosen the others and wiggle that cover assembly off the casting at which time some of the oil will leak out and you'll then have the problem of making it re-seal on reassembly.
(The 4WD variant has an extension housing but yours is 2WD which I don't think has that component, I think all you have is a cover-type thing - 7050 in the images.)
I know!!!!! Let's get @Gary Lewis! He will spend weeks micro-analyzing the thing, determining the optimal location to drill a drain hole and fashioning up a custom-designed drain hole plug which will all be fully illustrated both here and on his web site, providing weeks of insomnia relief for us all.

My reputation has preceded me.
I think you have the wrong transmission. It may be the Ford 4-speed w/OD tranny. And, in the drawing I don't see a 353051-S.
If that's the case just buy a cheap suction gun from the parts store. Looks like a grease gun but with a flex hose. Put the hose in the fill hole and get it to the bottom of the case. Pull the handle back and it'll suction out the lube. Put that in a pail and go again until you can't get any more. And, if you can't get the tube past something in the tranny, adapt a piece of hose to the end of the tube - the biggest hose you can get in as small hose will be a bear to get heavy lube through.

What's the flat round deal on the bottom centerline, to the right of the picture? It reminds me of a magnetic drain plug I saw on a transfer case (can't remember the details, sorry).

Yeah, I'm wondering if it is actually BW t-something now, the guy that told me what it was, was going off of the fact they used those and the new process, and he said it wasn't a new process... I never really thought about the paint color being red, and ford not using red paint on transmissions, I'm gonna check the tag tomorrow and see what I can find on it. Would you advise me to drill and tap a hole for a drain plug? I've seen other people do it and I do plan on having the truck for a long time. So it would make my life easier down the road
