Resisters for gauges

Does anyone have any experience with using resisters so I can use my original 6 volt gauges with my converted 12 volt system on my 49 F1. Also my system was pos grd and I'm changing it to neg grd.

Resistors don't work and it doesn't make any difference whether positive or negative.

Oil pressure, temp, and gas gauge are electrical. You need a voltage regulator for your electrical gauges.

Commonly called reducers. They are available in many forms and styles. These are from Speedway.

There are dozens of threads in the past on all the different types and how to wire them. Runtz are the most expensive and you need 3 of them.
