The Speedway kit looks to be the same as the CPP kit (Classic Car and Truck Brake, Steering and Suspension Parts). with F100 rotors and Impala calipers, expect at CPP for the extra $96 you get pretty expensive brake hoses.

You can mount the booster and master cylinder under the floor and use the original pedals. That way you also don't have to reinforce the firewall. But I would recommend installing a larger access door in the floor as the original round hole is a bit small and perhaps a clear (translucent really) reservoir remote fill system.

did you get a disc or drum rear-end from the explorer? how does it fit (spring perches)?

i'm looking to do the same setup -- trying to decide if discs all around are necessary...

Installed

So the kit is installed and was pretty straight forward. To be honest it stops way better than expected. To answer the last question, I would start with the front conversion and then see if you really need the new rear wnd with discs. I personally do not see the need but to each is own.

I installed the dual chamber for disc/drum with booster from CPP. Bolts right into the original spot on 51 tranny crossmember. required an additional two holes drilled in the side fram for added support. While it is installed, I have not yet hooked up the lines an run a road test, but the unit is shiny and fits nice....

I used an older rear end that had drum brakes. I had to cut the spring perches off and weld new ones on the frame is much narrower on the 50. Its a lot of grinding but not to bad

What did you use to cut them off? Smoke wrench or plasma?

Hello, I used the speedway conversion kit with the CPP master cylinder kit and it works great with the stock axle. Here is the link to the CPP Master: Classic Car and Truck Brake, Steering and Suspension Parts

I use a torch to cut most of the perch off. Then used a grinder to get the rest of it off
