Does anyone have any specifics on the AMP/8 Subwoofer that Ford puts in the King Ranch under the rear seat? It didn't work when I bought the truck but when I had a new head unit installed I tried to get it working on my own. I removed the speaker and hooked it up to another wire and it works. I get a thump when I turn on radio but that's it. I think the AMP is bad and want to replace it....but I cant find any info on it. If I replace the amp with something after market, then Ill need to run new wires or does the existing harness plug and play? Any help?

 

If your truck is a 2006, there wasnt an underseat amp and subwoofer option that was installed from the factory. Take some pics and folks may be able to give you a clue as to what you have. Does it have the factory 6 disc changer raido,still?
