09 SD with V10 - spark plug recommendations, and is coil pack upgrade worthwhile?
Hello everyone - my 09 F250 has enough miles to think about new spark plugs. Any particular suggestions? NGK and
Motorcraft come to mind, but I wanted to see what people think.
Also, is there any point in upgrading the coil packs? I see some manufacturers (notably Accel) claim greater engine efficiency because they operate at a higher voltage. At $50 each, I have to wonder if it's worth it.
Thanks...

Only the stock plugs...leave the coils alone as it won't make a difference. Blow out the hole first. A little bit of antiseize and torque to book value..no more no less....Don't forget about the spitting plug problem... The plugs last 100k if they are oem. Did mine at 89k wanted to make sure they were torqued right.

He won't have the spitting plug problem because he has a 3v.
How many miles are on the truck? I can't remember the cut off date, but look at your coil boots and let us know what color they are. You may be dealing with 2 piece plugs that can break when you try to remove them.
I'm sure some 3v guys will chime in and give you more help than I have.
