I have a 1960 F-100 that I purchased a little while ago. The previous owner removed the tailgate latch and chain. I am looking for some ideas to replace them. Please post your custom tailgate latch and chain set up. Thanks

 

Here is what I did on my 59 Styleside.

 

The South African version of the Orphan Years Trucks had a Turn Handle Latch w/ the chains mounted on the inside of the bed similar to the cable above.
As soon as I am able to find the Pix, I will post them.
That is what I have been thinking about doing as well.
