Up for sale 2003 7.3 Diesel E-350 Van, manufactured by Frontline Communications. I picked this up about a year ago from Fox 29 Philadelphia's retired fleet of ENG (electronic news gathering) trucks. It has 258,656 miles which is nothing for the 7.3 diesel. Drives straight as an arrow and starts right up each time. It has a block heater which I've never needed, even in 2 degree weather. Plenty of power and acceleration.

Power windows, power steering, cruise, tape, ice cold AC and great heat.

The Good:
Rooftop Dometic AC/Heat unit. Works well
12,000 lb Class V tow hitch (10,000 without weight distribution)
Brake controller
Power inverter (unsure of wattage) and charging system
Onboard air compressors functional (used to raise the mast which has been removed)
Shore power connections (dual 30 amp)
Edison plugs all over van
Diamond plate roof deck, can hold at least two people comfortably
Work lights all around the outside and inside, everything works as it should
Harpoon and Hutch mod performed to the fuel tank
Helper springs in the rear for added weight

Tires are in fair condition
Just flushed coolant system and replaced all fluids
External pre-fuel filter with clear bowl. Easy to see when it needs to be cleaned.
New o-rings on oil cooler
Delaminated fuel tank installed
Does not leak a drop of oil

The Bad:
The body is straight but the paint is rough. It's a work truck.
No major rust except where the door meets the cab near the bottom. Surface rust.
Ladder is slightly bent on one side, nothing major.
Driver seat is missing the arm rest.

The VIN number has the weight of the vehicle listed as 11,000 GVW. In reality it weighs about 8,500 GVW. It's recorded that way for when it was loaded with TV gear. I have a valid inspection for MD and will include it with the sale. Without it, you will have a really hard time registering it as a regular van due to the fact it's over 10,000 GVW (at least in Maryland). It could be different in other states. It cost me about $1,000 just to get it registered and past inspection. She's good to go now.

I also have all of the schematics for the van's wiring in PDF. I can include copies with the sale.

I've really enjoyed this van and it has never let me down. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it to California tomorrow. It doesn't suit my needs as I thought it would, so I am in search of a box truck with a lift gate. If you have one and want to trade I am open to discussion.
