I appreciate that link to the flow chart. I checked HPOP and it had plenty of oil. Pulled IDM box (I think) off drivers fender and shook it to make sure it didn't have water in it. Now its time to go to work. Gonna rain and snow rest of the week, so I'll probably get back to it by the weekend.

OK I'm back. That flowchart is a big help. Cowmilker, I'm in Parma Ohio, just outside Cleveland. I actually worked today, got a little more accomplished between all the other stuff. CPS is OK I've got tach when I crank. Fuel is good at schrader valve, I got 40psi on the guage with just cranking. I unplugged IPR and cranked, no reaction there either. So now I'm gonna look at the IPR. The nut is still on it, but maybe it let go. If I pick up another one, is there a way to make it act like its in the HPOP if I plug it in on yop of the engine?

My bad, I unplugged the ICP and it didn't react. I saw on a video that you can take plug off IPR and use a plug off a fuel injector to hook it to 12volts and it bypasses the IPR to check it out.
While I'm fooling around in there, I see everyone putting in electric fuel pumps. I have a stancor filter on my frame rail. Can I eliminate the bowl filter and still use the mechanical pump? I just replaced it 6 months ago.

No. Its a regulated fuel system. It will have to be a e fuel system or stock system.

If you put 12V to the IPR it will fully close the valve so that all the HPO will be directed into the heads/injectors. If you do this and it starts the oil pressure will rapidly rise and then the truck will shut itself off.

Do you have a way to check HPO pressure while cranking?

OK I'm back (for a minute LOL ) I pulled out the fuel bowl an bought a rebuilt IPR. My HPOP is full, but when I unscrewed the IPR only very little oil dribbled out. I was expecting to get it all. Is this normal?
Also, when I went to pull fuel bowl, I opened the water drain valve to empty it, but nothing came out till I loosened the filter top. It was almost like a vacuum in the bowl. Does this sound normal?

OK I got the IPR changed. Put it all back together and nothing. However I get a slight smell of burning fuel under the hood, but no smoke from the tailpipe. Am I possibly looking at bad o-rings or injectors? Would that prevent me from getting any reaction at the tailpipe?

Have you been able to test the HPO pressure while cranking?
That is your next step IMO.

I'll have to see if I can get a hold of a pressure guage. I unplugged the IPR and checked to see if I had voltage on the wiring harness, which I did. Is there a check for the switch on the side of the fuel bowl for pressure regulator. Also I'm getting a little smoke out of the left head out of the PCV leading back to the turbo. It smells like fuel burning. However no smoke from tailpipe.
