I'm pretty sure it will just trying to make sure its adequate for the future trailers possibly weighting about 12k+. I will eventually switch to lower gears if the need is still there, for now I'm gonna put in a diesel s47 or find a 460 s47 to make a hybrid out of it.

Both 3.55s and 4.10s have their place. For my truck uses, I prefer 3.55, but I think 3.73 would be better actually. I like that with 3.55 I can run 85 mph at reasonable rpm. Granted I don't pull a trailer too often, usually I just have stuff in the bed that I'm hauling.

Glenn, I'm still using the 1.0 in my 96. Hearing how fast the turbo spins at high rpm, its no wonder you burnt it up the way you tow!

I wondered if you were still running that 1.0 Phil.

I love my 3.55 gears for the highway cruising and unloaded driving, its nice to be able to drive 75 MPH and still have good RPM. I had thought about the different turbo housing but would rather save the money and put it towards the injectors or s366sxe. So for now its saving money while I can to get those. Still on the hunt for 7.3 intercooler pipes and 6.0 intercooler.

Figured I'd post an update since it's been over a month. Nothing major done on the truck just little odds and ends, mostly because my truck got broken into earlier this month and had all my tools for work and few other things stolen so I had to replace that stuff instead of getting major parts for the truck

Started removing the molding down the sides to get a little ready for paint and since inside part was rusty/sunbaked looking I figured why not, 2 days in I'm still not finished getting all the adhesive off the driver side!! Almost regretting taking them off!

Got a "new" rear bumper for it today to replace the bent chrome peeling one on it till I get around to building the custom bumpers for it.

Sprayed VHT red nightshade on the tail lights to give them a more stock look, Been pricing out new grille and headlight bezels in chrome for a while but waiting til after I get the injectors, T500, intercooler and E-fuel done FINALLY before I spend any more $$ on the rest of the truck.

Sorry to hear that! I'm surprised that mine hasn't been broke into with all the places I go. It must be that weak looking chain and lock I use thru everything that scares them off, lol. I know that the mean looking tool box lock has them scared!

It really did suck but I've learned a lot from it. Haven't gotten any work done on Thora hope to do a few small things before the next camping trip coming up in a few weeks. I did pick up an engine out of a 97 to rebuild for her that was to cheap to pass up, even if I find out the block and internals are not in good shape there is a lot of extra parts that make up the value alone in what I paid just in cores.

***Update***

Nothing new done to the truck because of the weather and work, but I'm getting ready to send off my injectors to get rebuilt by Jim at Rosewood.
Been rethinking my plans for the setup and might go bigger on the injectors then originally planned. Tossing around the idea of going 160/80 or 180/80 with a s366sxe or s369sxe gonna talk to Jim and Matt about the setups and see if they recommend the smaller 160/00 or the bigger ones for my intentions.

Also had a question? the T500 I got for my truck a while back was built from a SD HPOP will it work on my 94.5. When I bought it I didn't think to research if it would work or not being a t500 I figured it'd work but now that I'm getting ready to tear the truck apart I'm getting worried I bought a HPOP that will cause problems because the front cover being the older style and the HPOP being the newer style. I do have a front cover from the engine I got that's a 97, will I need that to use the t500 I got?

Thanks in advance!!

***update***

Picked up some much needed parts for Thora this last weekend. Got a full set of injectors to send off to get rebuilt, and a 6.0 intercooler and 7.3 intercooler pipes.

After much thought about what size injectors I've decided to stick with stage I's maybe with a 30% nozzle but still not sure.

Now I'm just looking around for a E99 spyder and I'll be set.

finally doing the gauges if the weather stops being bi-polar (IT SNOWED!!!!!!) and ordering the hydra as a early birthday present to me (more the truck)

Much needed update:

Haven't done much with the truck besides rear brake overhaul(loads of FUN!) Thora has been good, moved a whole house worth of stuff since we bought our first house. We also just scored a nice toy hauler a couple weeks ago and am for sure gonna need those upgrades I planned but actually thought it threw and have come up with a battle plan.

Plans are to have all or most of this done before camping season starts for us in April.

1. Install gauges (boost, EGT and Fuel)
2. Install 6.0 intercooler (just need a E99 sypder or make one)
3. Send off the spare set of injectors for a set of stage 1s
4. Get a termi or adrenaline HPOP since the one I got won't work with my 94.5 front cover
5. Get a hydra with tunes for stage 1s
6. install e-fuel before injectors and HPOP

Gonna check off this list for now then work on it once fall comes or when money allows a T4 mount and S300 turbo. Gonna also plan on a clutch as the one in there is stock rated and I'm not sure how well it will hold to the upgrades pulling a #9900 toy hauler.

If those upgrades don't satisfy the need for more pulling power, I'm going to change the gears down to 4.10 or 4.30s. I'm still planning on swapping in a s47 diesel.

Sounds like your plan is a good one. You might just start a new thread to get more opinions.
