'48 F6 Firewallreplacement?

Looking for opinions, Engine rebuild is coming along nicely. Now working on the detailing the engine compartment. Any thoughts on an overlay firewall? ABS or steel or stainless or diamond plate aluminum??
There are multiple holes in the firewall from years of 'modifications', I just thought it would be nice to have a clean slate.

Questions?
Comments?
Snide remarks??

I think I would figure out which holes I needed and fill the rest with some little patch panels. ABS might warp due to engine heat. Diamond plate would look good but could be a challenge to fit and form, at least for me it would. Get a spool of that easy grind wire for your welder and have fun.

Screw and smallish bolt holes can be filled with a piece of copper on the backside. Works pretty good for me. Might need a helper to hold the copper though.
