96 b23 abs light, and constant braking
Hi there.
I'm trying to troubleshoot my 96 b2300. 220k.
About a week ago, the abs indicator started coming on once in a while (usually after a few mins of driving), and stays on until I shut the truck off. When the abs light comes on, the parking brake light sometimes come on, but only for a few seconds.
First of all, I was under the impression that I did not have abs on this truck, though I do see that light (and all the lights) flash when I start the truck.
I the past few days, I've noticed a slight, but just noticeable pull on the truck when it's rolling, especially forward. On the slightest incline, with the clutch in, I should be rolling a bit, but I don't. A little too much stiction from somewhere.
After a drive, I'm not smelling burnt brake pads, etc.
Any ideas? Related maybe?
edit: I just checked my brake fluid, and I was pretty low. Filled, and took a quick drive. The sticky brake pull is still there, again, especially forward. The light didn't come on in a few minutes, but it doesn't always. I'll have to watch for it.

I'm pretty sure my problems were unrelated. Drove it a lot today after filling the fluid up, and no lights.
To deal with the brake drag, I replaced the spring on the parking brake cables, and it seems to have solved it. My old spring was very loose. Must not have been disengaging properly. Bought a bend-to-fit replacement for $3. Easy peasy.
