Go with the flares. They should be standard on stock trucks just for the added paint protection.

I'm normally NOT a fan of flares like that BUT on your truck with the lift rims & tires I think the flares look GREAT! I would keep the flares black too. I think it just works with your truck!

I normally don't like flares either but I'm putting another vote for leaving the flares and painting the steps black too.

Another vote for "WITH".

The truck looks great either way but I think the flares really add to it with the lift, tires & rims.

I think I would also go with black running boards to match flares & brush guard.

Beautiful truck either way.

Flares are sexy, I think for red trucks you need to keep them black though!!

Another vote for flares. I painted mine white to match the truck. Stock with a leveling kit. The bad thing about the flares is they make the wheel opening look so much larger. A 285/75/16 looked tiny all of a sudden. So not only did I buy flares I also bought tires and wheels.

If you had a set of black wheels and maybe a black painted front end I would say leave them black. But I would paint the flares to match your truck. You painted your step to match your truck?

Then when you paint the flares get the paintable 05 front end and have it painted too. Then peal that trim piece off your doors too!
