Found this tire

I forgot I had it. Kinda cool, never saw another. Appears to have been recapped.

Yep, Henry Ford hated to be dependent on anyone else. He was the king of vertical integration. At one point Ford Motor Company owned their own forest for logging, ships, iron mines, railroad, tire plant, glass plant, etc. The tire plant was shipped off to Russia during the beginning of WW2. It didn't come back...

No doubt. I think Henry invented the motorhome so they could all go to Yellowstone or Yosemite and have call girls and whiskey.

I think I'll clean up a wide 5 and mount it, see if I can clean it up enough to bring inside, maybe not in my bed though.

That is a nice find! This must have been made after he and Harvey went there separate ways. oops. I was thinking of Harry Ferguson.

I don't think the tires have anything to do with the Ferguson deal. Ford ceased tire production in 1942 and Henry fell out of bed with Ferguson with the last 8N, about 51 0r 52. Or more like Fergy booted him for not paying the royalties.

Henry probably owned a rubber plantation in Malaya or wherever. Then the Japanese took over about 1940, and that, as they say, was the end of that.
