Hey guys, I am new to this Forum so I just wanted to say hi and show everyone what I'm working on. I'm sure I will have lots of questions along the way. Just bought a 61' unibody for a $1000. 292 that runs, (needs tune up) auto, 9" rear and the body is in pretty good shape. I will be building up a carbureted 300 inline and 5 speed to drop in later but for now I just want to get it tuned up and road worthy.
My first problem is the brakes. I haven't looked over the truck yet because of the weather but the petal just went to the floor and stayed there. I will have to investigate this weekend and report back. I also have a donor truck that the 300 came out of, its an 88' f150. I'm wondering if I can use any parts from this truck on my unibody... brake booster/master? Steering/suspension parts?
