I'm seriously considering getting rid of my F350 for the new Raptor. The suspense of wanting more info is killing me. I heard that Ford will most likely take an order for one in August. Anyone have some more info to offer?

 

You and I both! what are the main factors that make you want to trade your current rig for it? I can't decide if I should start saving for a rap, or just get another SD w/ fx4.


I figured the new bronco was going to have the same 450hp 3.5eb as the raptor, but one unofficial site, said it might be packing a supercharged 5.8... I know that's unlikely to be true.. but I wonder if I should wait even longer to see what's up with that..

Thanks for the link MadWolf. Electrical gremlins happen, I'm sure Ford will get them ironed out prior to production. Beating the truck in these races should help the quality of the production vehicle.


The main reason I am thinking about getting rid of my F350 is the ride. It has gotten progressively worse. I have done everything I can think of to remedy it. I air bagged the rear, put new springs up front, added 2 new Bilstein steering stabilizers, and Bilstein shocks on all 4 corners. My wife won't ride in the truck any more and my 3 year old calls it a rollercoaster.

I don't see the Shelby as worth the money. Anyone could go build that truck less. You would pay a ****load all for the name to be on the truck.

Impessive. Looks like one of those Red Bull or Monster videos. I wonder if that is the actual exhaust sound? Or is it "enhanced" to sound better than it will in real life.

 

Well I pulled the trigger today and ordered me a 2017 Raptor. Avalanche Gray, Luxury Package and everything else in the order guide except the tailgate step. MSRP @ $70,055.00. Now the waiting game!!!

 

So you were able to place an order? Specs please. My dealer lacks Knowledge and I'm looking at ordering one for some winter fun.

 

The order banks opened July 18th, but production for 2017 F150's doesn't start until September 26th.

 

I can't believe my dealers lack of knowledge. It won't take long to build come Sept 26, but it will sit awaiting delivery, I can about guarantee you that. After ordering my SD, it took a month to get to me after being built.

After ordering my Tesla, it took 3 days to be delivered. The difference between low production and mass production. Ford just can't get enough shippers.

 

Several people on the Raptor forum received their vin#s and build dates Thursday and Friday.
