Abe this one is for you

Abe I know you are preparing your truck for new paint. Since you have meadow green paint and are repainting meadow green I know you are familiar
with this color.
This week I sprayed the wheels on Austin's truck. I was surprised to see that there is a trace of blueish tint. I do not see that on pics on the web. I realize the monitors cannot represent accuracy. I do like the way the wheels turned out but I do want to be sure of the accuracy of the mix.
None of the local paint stores has reference to mix meadow green they can only scan a sample, which I do not have. Only one of our local NAPA stores mix paint. When they do mix they do it the old fashion way using scales. I noticed on the can that he spilt some yellow tint around the edge of the can and I am wondering if this effected the final color. I only purchased enough to paint the wheels and I have not purchased the paint for the truck since we are not ready for that.
Where there is green on my truck it is not in good condition and in small areas. It looks Green, not blueish green, I am just curious does your truck have somewhat of a blueish tint.

The Ford Meadow Green paint code is 14283.

Here's a chart with some cross reference numbers if that helps.

Here in "HOOTERVILLE" SE Ohio the paint code does not help with our local shops. I have been to several. NAPA was my only option. Their mixing stations and the instructions I guess do not co ordinate with the older vehicles color codes.

I have a paint chip of Meadow Green that I used in 1999 to get the paint mixed. Here is an eBay auction for Ford truck paint chips:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1959-Ford-Tr...9RP7Qd&vxp=mtr

It is only $7.99 Buy it Now and $2.54 shipping. It is from 1959 but it should be the same as 53-56. What year is your truck?
