Don't hold me to this, but to touch on your transmission situation:
I believe--from doing research years ago--the Clark trans, overdrive or not, will bolt to a T98 bellhousing.
I wanted to find an old 264VO or maybe a 280VO for my 1956 F100. Little did I know 1) they're impossible to find, 2) they weigh as much as a small planet, and 3) they don't bolt to the lighter duty 3-spd trans bell's like I have.
I remember reading that I'd have to find a T98 bell to connect a Clark to my 223ci I-6.
Just do a little research and check my memory.

SanFord has not been forgotten. It's just been too damn hot to work on it. Since my last post, the blasting is complete. It took several hours to clean all the sand and dust out of the interior.
Paint is almost complete.
I haven't quite decided how the front is going to be painted. Hopefull I'll make some progress on that tomorrow.
I've had the devil of a time with side view mirrors. I really don't want some junky mirror hanging off the side, so I've been playing around with using cameras.
This is stuck up there with a magnet to get some idea of what the placement would have to be.
Then there would be three of these screens mounted in the dash. One for each side camera and one for the back. The screens are 7". The view is several times better than what you can get with a mirror. I will still probably mount mirrors, but they will be more for redundancy than primary.
More to come, and as the weather down here cools off, it should happen faster.

What a great build, I missed it the first time around.
If you're considering a transmission swap take a look at this thread:

NV4500 doesn't have an integrated bell housing and is a 5 speed with Overdrive.

Slow going, but still some forward progress. I finally decided how the paint line was going to work out on the hood and fenders. The red line will continue around the front of the hood. I'm hoping to get it painted tomorrow.
I'm shooting for a camping trip December 3rd. With that in mind, I needed to replace the tire that blew out in the yard.
I'm pretty sure this tire ran flat a good portion of the 1000 mile trip home and destroyed the sidewall. When I aired it back up it turned loose. I bought two new tires for the front and moved the older front tires to the back.
I can rotate a set of tires on a car in 20 minutes. Moving the tires around on this thing took 2 hours.
More to come.
