Need headlight advice

My low-beams are very dim and I am looking to replace them before an upcoming cross country trip. Question: what headlights do I have here, and what low-beam bulb do I need to order to get some more brightness?

Thanks in advance!

I'm guessing you purchased the truck used. Those are not the oem headlights. Unless somebody has the exact aftermarket lights, they won't be able to tell you. Best bet is to remove a bulb to see what is marked on it. Those projector lights, if not engineered well, might not perform well even if you change the bulbs.

Wonder if those aftermarket lights were one of the factors that put the truck on the used truck lot? Original owner didn't like the oem lights nor his aftermarket selection.

Yes, they were on the truck when I bought it used. The previous owner said that they were the OEM bulbs; has anyone found a replacement bulb that fits the OEM harness that performs better? The high-beams are super bright, so that's some consolation at least.

This is what I used:
Amazon.com: OPT7® Bolt AC 55w HID Xenon Conversion Kit w/ Relay Harness & Capacitors - 2 Year Warranty - 9006 (5000K, Bright White): Automotive Amazon.com: OPT7® Bolt AC 55w HID Xenon Conversion Kit w/ Relay Harness & Capacitors - 2 Year Warranty - 9006 (5000K, Bright White): Automotive

Better than the 35W that was in it. The beam pattern takes a lot to get used to. Low beams are better than the halogen high beams but my rigid Q-Series lamps make up for what the headlamps are lacking on dark country roads. Still... one of the reasons I'm waiting to order a new and loaded '17 as long as they have LED head lights as I've read somewhere

They may be OEM halogen bulbs but the housing assembly is aftermarket.

Interesting...do they blind other drivers?

That's what I was referring to.

Apparently not as nobody has flashed me yet. Just make sure they are adjusted accordingly. The light bar and Q's are another story. They'll burn out eyeballs.

Edit on previous message. Mine had 35W HID before switching to 55W HID. The 35W HID were still better than the OEM halogen but still lacking IMHO.
