Same as my 13.
There are two different types of spring sets,
three and an overload and four and an overload on the superdutys.
I've asked many people to find out how to get the four spring when
ordering and no one seems to know. It has nothing to do with gvwr
or payload. I'd love to find out. Anyone?

Back when discussing spring perches was all the rage I stopped at the dealer to look at the 16's on the lot. Some were 250 and some 350. All had 4" blocks. None were camper certified. On the 350's some had 4 main leafs and some had 3. Some had snowplow package some had HD front package. None of the combinations were consistent and there was no indication on the window sticker. I asked the salesgirl and the sales manager and neither could explain the differences, in fact they did not know that there was a difference. I too ask what is trigger to add the extra leaf?
of course.

Ford Trucks,
Please provide pictures of the new design Twin I beam
I am curious about how it has evolved. Standard suspension for 30 years, then gone, now back. What is the game plan here?

I asked the Ford engineer if the leaf spring set up was the same in "17"
and he answered more or less yes.
Are the rear leaf springs different?
We have optimized/enhanced several components of the suspension/chassis. While the leaf springs are carryover length and width, Rear Gross Axle Weight Ratings (GAWR)/Pad Ratings have been increased for many configurations. We upgraded the front eye bushing with a larger bolt and metal outer can and upgraded the front clip from an open to closed design.

With 2.5" hitches on the market already rated for 20K+ what was the engineering reason to move up to the 3"? is Ford releasing that much higher conventional tow rating? Is there information on which trucks will get the 3" hitch receivers?

Ok for the Ford tech, great answers, my 2012 F450 DRW 6.7L has about 350,000 miles, on its 3rd turbo, right now getting injectors replaced. I pull heavy and constant it my business. Better brakes would be a blessing. How will a gooseneck hitch for a 2016 C frame fit a 2017 box frame? Whats the HP/Torque of the 2017 6.7 diesel? My 2012 has more stock HP than I had in my 2008 6.0 with upgrades and programmer. For the power train guys, all diesel trucks should be able to run 65 mpg @ 1800 rpm (the diesel sweet spot) Mine does not due to the gears, its a diesel HOG!

my heavy pulls
these can get REAL heavy
I hate bumper pulls
53 ft car hauler from OKC to Long Island NY
Yeah, sometimes I pull my own trailer or stuff
Set of doubles from KS to AZ
and some days it just plain easy,

I think there are many of us that would like to understand why the 2017 SRW F350, with its upgraded frame, axles, brakes, etc. has the same GVWR of 11,500 as the 2016. It is especially surprising given that Ram 3500 SRW has dominated the F350 SRW for years with its 12,300 GVWR. Can I really put 800# more on the Ram wheels than the new Ford???

Still No Answer
trucks are in production and still no answer, what are the interior shoulder and hip width dimensions?? Are they less than a 2016 F250?

If its the same cab as the F150 then look at those specs
