Today, I tackled the 2011+ front bumper install without making ANY mods to correct any gaps because I'm slowly doing the 2011+ front conversion. Yes, the bumper looks good far away and you can still use your tow hooks. I tried to get the bumper adjusted as much as possible and it still left a 2 inch gap under the headlights and the bumper was butted against the grille. It was a easy switch and believe it could be slightly modded to look better.

 

You will need a grill similar to this: Ford Paintable 05-07 Super Duty/Excursion Grille Fits 99-04

 

I'm actually going to do the 2011+ front conversion with a new grille, headlights, fenders, hood and other parts needed to complete the swap like this.

 

I did the same mod and mine sits about 1/2" from the lights and grille.

 

I did the same mod and mine sits about 1/2" from the bottom of the lights and grille. I drilled out new mounting holes in the bumper supports lower than the existing holes. So when I mounted it with the new holes it sat higher and didn't have that "gap" look.

Also my grill was cut to fit the old bumper.

 

If you see my Gold Ex do a quick U-turn to chase you down in Liberty one day it is me, I would love to see your truck in person.

 

Did you drill new holes?

 

Mine doesn't look like this yet... mine has a beige front bumper with a chrome rear.
