Pro Comp ES1000 Shocks...

Here's the deal... I am lifting my 2000 Excursion using Pro Comp's 22210 / 22415 springs with 315/75/16 tires and was looking at different shocks. Does anyone have any FIRST HAND knowledge/experience with the Pro Comp ES1000 shocks with this method lift? Any reasons NOT to use these? I used the search function and didn't come up with what I was looking for. Be Blessed!

The only reason not to is what you're finding... no info. No bueno!

Ask about Bilstein 5100. Everyone's happy. Rancho 9000. Most happy.

Go with a proven, performing, lasting product for your money, in my opinion!

Good point.
Both of those are a little more than I initially wanted to spend. Hoping to find something a little less with not too much compromise on the prod.

I've had both and agree with Walt on his assessment.

My .02
5100's are perfect for our rigs.
9000's are pretty good for our rigs.

Bilstein 5100's? Or the yellow ones? There's a huge difference in my opinion....

I understand on the money end, but I just hate buying something and then having to buy one again, too soon! I'm just afraid of a $35 dollar shock, even if it was on my wifes 3000lb highway car...
Anyway good luck, report back! I've been wrong before...

The es1000 is valved to replicate the OEM shocks ride quality. so it is going to be on the lighter side, It is a good twin tube replacement shock that is popular more for its cost then performance. Quality wise they are as good as any other twin tube shock you are going to find. Oh and yes I have owned them in the past.

If you wanted to go with a mono tube shock that is valved a bit stiffer then stock consider the KYB monomax. About $55 ea.

KYB Americas | MonoMax
