1976 F350 Supercab hitch

Does anyone know if there is a class 3/4 hitch that can be mounted on my truck with a factory chrome bumper? I know I will have to relocate the spare tire, but I don't want to remove the bumper. My truck also has the factory 19 gal. rear tank mounted between the frame rails.

Thanks

U Haul will install a hitch for you. I had one done there years ago.

Thanks, Dave; I've been to the U-Haul website, and there's a location not to far away that installs hitches. Plan to get by there and let them work up an estimate, and confirm they have a Cat 3 hitch that will work with my factory chrome bumper. With an appt., do you think it's something that can do while you wait?

I have no idea who you are or what your physical ability is, but consider saving yourself 100 bucks and install it yourself. There are many sources to purchase a hitch receiver for much cheaper than what U-haul charges. Etrailer and Amazon are both good places to shop. You will also save their $70 installation charge.

Also, why would you handicap your truck by installing a class 3 hitch? It's an F350, at least install a class 4 hitch.

OK on the Class 4

FYI, I'm quite cable of installing a bolt-on hitch, and that will be my plan unless some fabrication/welding becomes necessary. The purpose of the U-haul visit will be to get an estimate, and to confirm there's a bolt-on hitch that is compatible with the factory chrome bumper on my truck.

I agree, the Class 4 is the better choice.

Thanks for responding.
