Say that you order a brand new truck that was not on anyone's lot, so it had to be built. Once the factory sends you a copy of the window sticker, about how long after that should the truck be available?

 

I ordered my f250 January 15th and it looks like I will have it Monday the 15th

 

A conservative estimate most dealers will give you is 6 weeks. Some has to do with how far you are away from KTP in Louisville, KY and the availability of rail cars going your way.

 

Yowza. This truck was ordered in November and the window sticker was generated on 1/14/16. And still no truck.

 

Ummm... 6 weeks is a pretty liberal estimate. Frankly the SD fleet is showing at 10-12 weeks last I looked. I tell folks "3 months, and it could be longer".

I hear "6 to 8 weeks" quite often, but that normally ends in customers ticked off that it took so much longer. I'd rather not oversell something like that.

 

Mine took about 8 weeks, I think. After the window sticker..hmm..I'm not sure. I think that showed up in the middle of the wait. But they said there was a shorter wait for 2wd. I might order another one soon too....


What config/options are you getting?

 

I was told 10 to 12 and mine somehow made it in four weeks F250 fx4 ultimate lariat loaded gas engine had a Vin number within two days and a build date. I'm in Virginia. Maybe mine replaced a dealer stock order unit that was upfront

 

I ordered my F350 XLT on Nov 9, delivered to dealer on Dec 22. Once you have that window sticker, you will have a scheduled build date. If your dealer won't tell you the date, ask Crystal on the 2016 PSD Orders forum here and she will get you the info.

6 weeks for mine to be delivered after the order was placed. Probably about 4 weeks after the sticker was generated.

 

Mine took 11 weeks and I never did get a window sticker. Mine is a 2 wheel drive, standard cab, a dinasour by today's orders, everyone wants 4WD with more than 2 doors.

 

I ordered mine on October 4th, dealer got me the VIN on October 23rd, delivered on December 5th. The build date was November 18th. I think I was able to access the window sticker online after the build date. Took just about two months which is what the dealer estimated. I ordered a F350 CCSB PSD 4x4 Platinum.

 

I'm in the California Central Valley

Dec 29th, Order Placed
Jan 15th, Build date assigned for Feb 8th.
Feb 8th, in production
Target delivery Feb 27th.

Looking to be right at 8 weeks. We'll see what happens:-)
