Welcome to FTE.

What type of surface are you on and what kind of driving are you doing?

With the AC or heat on the dash vent setting dose it switch to blowing out the defrost vent on the dash under hard acceleration? If so it would indicate a vacuum leak which in turn would let the vacuum applied 4x4 hubs disengage.

My brain was stuck in Super duty, I believe the F150s disengage with vacuum. You might check the electronic vacuum valve for the hubs to see if it's leaking A slight vacuum to the hubs in 4x4?

But if i have a vac leak it should stay locked in all the time, and not jump out?

Thanks

If the valve is letting a small amount of vacuum to the hub it could cause it to not fully engage and pop out under load?
