Replacing clutch

I have a 1999 f250 7.3 diesel with a 6 speed manual and it is in need of a new clutch. How hard is it to do on your back? What clutch would you recommend getting?

The zf transmission in your truck is VERY heavy. Make sure you use a transmission jack. If it is 4X4, you can take the transfer case off first to lighten the load.

As far as how complicated the trans is to remove, I would say it is one of the easier ones to deal with. Just heavy and awkward.

Any brand like luk, motorcraft should be fine. Make sure you get the flywheel turned.

Let us know how it goes.
