1976 F150 4x4 Restoration/Modification

Is this the right Forum to share a frame up restoration project I am finishing up on? I have been working on this for about a year and a half and utilized FTE for research on my project. I took it from this...

to this...

This is my first post on FTE and not sure if anyone is even interested.

Of course we are interested. Welcome to FTE and very nice truck. I see in that first pic the front tire was "Grand Prix Multi Trac" That is about as old school tire as you could have gotten. Excellent off road tires in the day. Grand Prix also made " RVT's" another excellent tire similar to Ground Hawgs.

By all means YES, YES and YES! I want to know where the heck was the build/restro thread been from day one? A lot of hard work right there, be proud!

I like the all blacked out approach, especially with red or copper? Cool, kinda like this?

What about the cab drip rails? Any plan to black out also?

What kind of prep work for paint did you for the the grill shell, dent trim and fenderwell lip trim? And what paint did you use on them?

Hey thanks for all welcoming comments. Yeah those those tires were definitely old school and I think were the original set after the OEM tires wore out! Didn't even hold air...anyway didn't stay on the truck very long after I got it, the tires on the truck now are General Grabber 35x12.50x15, still a little old school with the 15". 4" suspension lift...Rough Country for clearance.

I'm trying to make sure I post pictures every time i post as not to get flamed. This is the interior (I do have pics of the original I will share).

Here is under the hood during restoration. It was originally a BBF 460, crank wasn't very good so I decided to stroke the motor and is now a 521.

The color scheme is a Canyon Red (really a deep burnt orange) and gloss black trim..which I had powder coated. DON'T EVER POWDER COAT ORIGINAL EMBLEMS!!!...i ruined mine...that pot metal just doesn't do well, i should have painted them. The bumpers, side trim and grill shell came out great with powder coating....

Oh yeah, the drip rails were in great shape, I was not going to highlight them with black trim. I guess i could at a later date?

We try not to be "flame like" on here, like other places like Pir.te..lol That interior is real clean and very nice. That engine and compartment is super sharp.

IMO flaming a person for their decisions on what THEY do to THEIR rig with their $, is a sign of not understanding, having only one narrow minded opinion or being a jack wagon and then you deserve to have your donkey in the ditch anyway.

The grey arm rest and matching center of the seats is nice and suttle and works. If it was canyon red/burnt orange I would fire up my flame thrower. lol jk

Thanks for the grey arm rest notice...I had one of my friends confused on that one. My seats are leather and the scheme was black and grey. I also have the grey carpet that I will be putting beneath the door panels. I knew and know that whatever I did/do to this truck would not be unique. I just wanted to build a nice truck like I would have wanted when I was a kid. I think the Stroker was a bit much...sheesh it's a screamer!

You gotta watch out for Rich. He will drool over it and the next thing you know he will be at your front door wanting to help you work on it.
