This is why we cant have nice things.

I guess it was just a matter of time. Looks like someone wanted my truck more than me. Luckily they didn't get her.

How much to replace this?

Ugh thats terrible!

Been there before with my Expedition years ago, they broke the handle and lock cylinder but the PATS system did its job, and the SOB's weren't able to get it started and drive away.

I remember the repair bill being a couple of hundred bucks for parts alone.

Not sure if the column is totally ruined(might be) so you might need a replacement there. Junkyards are your best bet...

I believe you can still order the master lock cylinder which will be able to be "keyed" to you original keys.

As for the handle, I guess the same would have to be done, new master lock set and have it re-keyed to your original keys.

EDIT: Actually looking closer at your rather good photo I think you might just need a new barrel for the ignition lock, the outer portion of the column appears to be in good shape.

My problem is I don't know where to start. I have both keys and the title, but the Truck will not start. Do I go to the dealership with both keys and title?

That sucks. I can't stand POS people that don't want to work hard and earn an honest living. Instead they go around destroying tax payer belongings after they already get a free handout from us.

Order a new key and lock set

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Excursi...] eBay Key Set

Take your new keys and an old key to Lowes and have it programmed for free

I'm very sorry to hear this, but I'm glad it's not worst. I had a friend with a F250 have his truck broken into and the POS wasn't able to get it started, so they knocked out all the windows and completely destroy his dash to get out a $100 radio out.

Read this before you go to Lowes.
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-solution.html

An important point you need to be aware of is that when they programmed my new ebay key their programmer which is intended to program their keys did NOT "confirm" the process was completed. However the new key indeed worked just fine. I speculate the conformation process is built into the Lowes system so retail store level employees can operate it. But in fact it is just a dummy light and is a feature that only works with their own keys.

You will not that the keys in the link I sent are the same style as factory and do not contain a battery, the ones lowes sells are battery powered.

I can sympathize with you. It wasn't very long ago someone broke into my Ex. Lucky for me they only stole the quick to grab items like my tablet and my daughters cell phone and didn't break anything but it still sucks. The violation factor and the POS mentality is what I just can't seem to understand . By the way the police were little to no help in my case. Didn't even return calls qhen they asked me to get them the serial numbers. Ugh.

Unfortunately this has happened to me before, not with the EX but a Bronco that was stolen and multiple break ins over the last 20 years from Albuquerque, Scottsdale and now Rio Rancho in different cars. Police were no help, I was basically told we cant help you, although I understand why it is frustrating. I didn't even both calling today.

Sad to say but back in Texas I had a few break-ins and always called the police and they always just said there was a rash of it at the time and there was nothing they could do about it.

My daughter was sitting in the back seat of our Ex at night in a parking lot (with our 2 80lb Pitbulls), and some crackheads pulled up in a jap-crap pile and parked a couple spots away.
His buddies go into the store, and he meanders over to about 4 cars, looking inside each one and looking around to see if anyone was watching him... he makes his way over beside the Ex, cups his hand by his head to look inside.
My daughter screamed "get away from our truck!", the dogs went ballistic, and Mr Meth-Head left skid marks from his tennis shoes (and inside his droopy pants I'm sure)!
I left a 'love note' on their windshield when we left...

These scums need more painful deterrents to remind them to live right.

If you capped one of the miscreants though, they'd do something about that.
