Header fitment
Hi everyone I'm considering to buy some headers for my 1973 F250. Its a 360 with a 4 speed manual. I'm thinking of buying the summit racing headers. Will these headers clear the couch rod linkage and everything? Has anyone ever used these? I don't wanna buy them if they won't clear.

Hey Andrew, I would look at your engine bay and measure the distance on the drivers side near where the steering box as well as trans cooling lines. Check for clearance gaps. Then you can see if you can do equal length shorties, shorties or long tube headers. You might find that there will be random stuff that will give you trouble on the drivers side.
If you want easy, Shorty headers that bolt up to the stock collectors will give you some improvement and will be better for low end torque. Anything is better then exhaust manifold. However if you can swing it go ceramic vs painted. In the long run it will be better overall. Looks better and keeps more heat away from the engine.
