Yeah, stock height. Not too keen on Les Schwab. I hadn't thought of Olympic Off-road.
Most places just say the front end is within specs, but these need a bit of tweaking on
the toe-in.
I don't really have a problem, it's just a little loose feeling on uneven roads. I'm thinking
of replacing the bushings, etc. and looking for a good place for an alignment afterwards.
I'll be getting new tires as well.
4x4 or 2WD? Caster is adjustable via shims on the upper ball joints. I have some friends that work at Firestone on Rainier that I typically use but that is a bit of a drive for you and always a wait.
Don't know if this is too far from you but auburn car repair is a pretty reputable shop that know what they are doing. I've spent lots of time looking at their activities and talking with people who know them and use them frequently on the PNW Jeep forums. Welcome to the shop...
John @ Auburn Car Repair is great (good people) I've wheeled with him a couple times
Olympic 4X4 in Snohomish is also good but I'm not sure they do alignments, the owner "Carl" is in my Jeep club, I'll ask tonight at our club meeting.
Thanks. I haven't looked into any of them yet. I'm still awhile out
from needing the work done. Just trying to line up my ducks so
I'm not scrambling when I need it.
Anybody got a line on a good alignment shop? I live near Everett but
willing to travel for a place that knows how to properly set up a F250
frontend.
05 F250 SD diesel, 2wd.
I recently bought a 2000 F-150 Harley Davidson edition and before I bought new tires, I took it to Tru-Line in Bellevue.
They are by far the best shop I have ever used.
Tru-Line have the latest alignment tools and really are thorough with their work.
Initially I was told by a Ford dealer that I needed new lower ball joints, was told by another shop that I needed upper ball joints!
Byron (the owner) at Tru-Line did a FREE inspection and told me my uppers were great and my lowers still had a couple of years left in them.
It was $200 for the work but I feel well worth the cost to preserve my new tires and for peace of mind.
This shop works on some of the most expensive luxury and sports cars around Bellevue so take that as an endorsement.
