Today I found the limit of Michelin 245/75R/16"s
Today was another beautiful day driving the Big - E, with fresh springs & shocks all the way around. Was tooling around, when I came upon a green light with a right hand exit in a down hill. Not shortly 300 ft after the downhill, exit to the left across two lanes of traffic to an uphill left hand turn into a strip mall.
What made it all happen in a split second was a Transit coming at me in the opposite direction. Wait, or cut using momentum & springs to get across in a timely safe manner. I chose the latter.
At about 25 mph out of the exit right, I dove into the strip mall entrance left, an uphill left camber. It reacted predictably, dove into the cut, then the (front) "brand new" Michelin's growed at me in the left hand camber up turn. That is it, I found the limit, it quickly leveled out & steering response bounced back.
This (new springs) is so much fun, I actually enjoy driving again and beating on the Big -E. 8000 pounds just did that, just outstanding performance from American made service parts.
