Reverse lights both quit working at same time

Sprayed the truck off tonight and I went to back out of the bay and noticed I didnt see any reverse light and usually its pretty bright because I have a tail gate light bar. Looked and nothing. Neither reverse light nor the tail gate rev lights work. I don't really know when this started but possibly just got the wires wet? I will trouble shoot the best I can tommorow when it's day light by starting with checking fuses then go from there. Obviously not just a bad bulb. Any suggestions on what to look for after that? Tail lights work fine on both sides and the tail gate bar

Yea its an automatic e4OD. Thanks. I'll check the NSS. I have already tightened those nuts under the steering column but not familiar with the neutral safety switch so I'll look into that. Not sure where it is. ? I vaguely remember that I think I had to re wire the tail and rev light wires to the new tail gate bar and I went through some decent mud holes. It blasted that all over the wires and packed the rear bumper so I'm thinking I need to check those wires for sure bc honestly I didn't do anything more than black tape them together and zip tie it to the hitch mount.

You wrote your own death sentence. Redo those splices with solder and heat shrink.

Yeah for sure. Quick question. If I have the ignition in the on position the reverse lights would come on if it was working correctly right? I would think so but obviously don't want to put it reverse while running to check it ideally

Correct, the Backup Lamp circuit is hot when the key is in The Run position.

It was a blown fuse. All fixed now. Still need to solder those connections though. Found a bunch of mud on the underside of the tank I missed too
