Not to hi-jack this thread but I need to replace these four pieces. Any tips?

 

Once you get the new ones, take the adjuster ***** off via the two small Allen screws on the plate and load the cavity the **** goes into with white lithium grease. That should keep them functioning much easier and for much longer in your climate. Give them a couple of coats of clear too.

 

just found a shop to transfer the guts of the 2000 gasser to the 2001 diesel and paint her pearl white for $3500. I want low profile metal bumpers that can be painted the same color as the car

to clarify - $3500 to swap 2000 gasser white interior to red diesel 2001 - and paint diesel pearl white.

Razzi - says I should buy this however - they don't sell the REAR bumper - need to paint it - non chrome and they don't have outside large mirrors - need those smooth to be painted as well.

 

Hi Tech is great to deal with. Last time I was there (a couple of months ago), they had lots of mirrors.

 

They said they don't have

a. Mirror
B. a rear bumper to match that set for the front


Need advice on where to find both of those items. The mirrors need to be smooth so they can be painted. as well as the bumper

Hi tech is out of town for week

 

i spoke with abe@hitechautoparts.com nice guy he has an all black kit on eBay that can be painted.

he says for now the tow mirrors on eBay are the way to go - super cheap

 

I would get the all black set and slap it on. Don't even paint it. My excursion is toreador red, and I just got rid of all the tan on the exterior. Converted it all to black or removed it. Looks 10x better now. Got black rims, too.

 

where should I get speakers?

the inside of the doors have surface rust should I spray them with something?

 

Maybe Jon and Twitch could get you some off Craigslist?

I'd say sand and paint
