Wiring Question, running wires to the rear of truck

for you guys that used an after market wiring kit like EZ Wire, Painless, American Auto Wire, Rebel Wire etc, I am about to run the rear section to the back for tail lights gas tank etc. which route did you take? Not sure how I want to run them from the driver side kick panel to the back. For the front engine section I'm going through the firewall behind the bell housing and for the headlights etc, I'm going to run in the fender well. Any suggestions. advice would be helpful. I'm trying to get a clean look.

I drilled a 1" hole under the body right near the front cab mount. I got a plastic hole plug and ran the wires through the center, and siliconed the plug in place. I ran the wires inside the cab mount support to the frame. This is where I dumped my entire harness so it would all be inside the frame. No visible wires anywhere when the hood is open. I'll add some pics when the truck gets back from the upholstery shop. Hope this helps.

I routed my rear wires down through the kick panel. They come out at the bottom behind the access panel in the wheel well. I drilled a hole in the side and used a rubber grommet. If you take the access panel off it helps to route the wires.

My '53 will be the third vehicle I've done with an EZwire kit. I've been happy with every install. I'm going with the 21 circuit and small fuse box.

I plan to run the engine harness through the firewall, close to the back of the left head. There will be a watertight coupling there.

The nose and tail harnesses will run through the floor near the left frame rail, where it will run forward and back with water tight couplings for each.

The only things on the firewall will be the heater hose and choke cable penetrations and the ignition control box. It won't be wire free, but should be pretty clean looking.

Which water tight couplings are you using? I would like to use one for the front.

I ran mine out the original firewall hole, down the firewall by the dimmer switch, along the inside of the frame to the back using brake line clamps. I just didn't like the over the floor method and punching a hole in the rear of the cab or floor.
I used self sealing silicone tape which sets up in 24 hours to a solid waterproof covering. Got it from Delcity.net comes in red or black.

Delcity.net has a lot of great looking supplies (not just wiring), thanks for the info!
