One thing says f600 and another say f617 were just trying to find out the year. The truck is a farm truck that has been around forever and nobody can find a title or anything on the truck. We need the year because the brake booster went out and can't find one.
A while ago, I posted a craigslist ad about a F610. Owner swore it was a 610. Not a F600. The door code read F610 which translates to a F600. I happen to have an F600 cab and the door code also reads F610. We couldn't convince the owner that it was an F600. Last I knew it's still for sale.
I don't need to know how rare it is. I need to know the year. I can't find anything on decoding the old ford truck vins
Someone who knows how to decode the vin will come along. Sorry about the joking around - the idea was to bump your post up to the top so guys will see it.

I remember. I was in on it. The owner posted a pic of the VIN tag and it said F610 under the word Model. Someone here was saying there's no such thing as a model F610 and I couldn't let go of the fact that the tag said it was a "Model F610."

Maybe I can explain it to ya Q. It would be a "model" F610 but it's a "Series" F600. In my 1964 through 1972 slide Ford shows a Model F610 as being a F600 4x2, Gas engine, 21000# gvw. And "That's A Fact..Jack".
