I used to share the same opinion, but in the last few months I've seen a disturbing amount of engine failures on the EcoDiesel forums. Apparently the cam gears are held in alignment by the friction of being pinched between the bolt and the cam. The HPFP is driven off one cam gear, and it's developing a penchant for slipping and causing valves to hit pistons. They're also seeing some bottom end failures.

Sure am! When it comes to the classics there are some of the Ford body styles I am just not a fan of. Plus the Chevy truck I bought was a dang good deal.

Seems like these days......actually like always every brand has their good and bad points. Just have to pick what's best for you.

There have been a large number of catastrophic failures on the ecodiesel that they can't explain with any kind of certainty. Like the cranks that go boom...

I know there have been an insane number of changes to motor internals done in the last year and I figure given 3 or 4 years it should end up being a damn good power plant. But as of right now, I wouldn't spend the money. It also doesn't help that it takes them insane amounts of time to approve any warranty work...

Too bad you couldn't get the 6.2 in the normal f150. Can't even get it in the Raptor anymore

Hey that is just like me and ski-don'ts....never seen one that I am remotely interested in! Works out well one less person looking to buy one so less competition when you want to buy one!
