NEWBIES HERE

We own a 2005 F-250 Diesel, we're considering buying another Ford but this one will be a F-150 Gas. I want to be able to haul my 2 horse trailer occasionally. I usually use the Diesel but sometimes my spouse is using it, the horse trailer itself weighs 3,020 lb empty and then if I add a horse or two, hay/tack/water/etc it will bump the weight up to around 5,000 or up to 6,000 lb. I will "mainly" be using it for my daily driver, 1 hr to work 1 hr home, so I want good fuel mileage so I'm considering a 2009 4.6 and I am getting {mixed messages} the Dealer is telling me to spend more and get a 3.5 V-6 says it's the BEST or get the 5.4 but people say the 5.4 has multiple issues and for daily driving which I do a LOT of that I need the 4.6 if I don't get the V-6.... I won't always use it for hauling but I will need a truck that can and will do it without "killing it".... Ideas/thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
p.s. We are new here to the forum and I Hope that I'll be able to find my way back to this post..... If someone replies and I don't reply can someone (find me)? LOL.
