Old school for sure. Lots'o copper inside that machine compared to anything modern. Definitely a work horse, run it all day, and it'll never complain. But a bit iffy with precision work though.
I did this for a guy at work to show his brother that was interested in buying my welder I had here at home. It's .045 rod welded togather with .010 filler wire.

We had that exact welder at the Caterpillar dealer I worked at. Same cart too. I thought someone had made the cart. Must be a Miller cart. We still used a forklift to move it around.It was great for welding up the thick aluminum oil pans.
I'd have used it a LOT more if it had that sticker on it!

LOL that was good. I looks like a furnace. He said it was portable, and has it's own water tank in the bottom, I'm not sure what for, but I didn't ask cause I don't know much about tig welders. He said it's a tig.
