Flimsy metal straps under rear seats

There are 2 metal straps going left to right between the rear seat mounts. They don't appear to do anything. The seat doesn't touch them. The mounts are bolted to the floor so they don't give support. Anybody know what they are for?

Is it a crew cab or an extended cab?

Got a picture?

Crew cab. The straps don't do anything.

Mine has a storage box under the rear seat. I would guess that is the mounting.

Yeah, I would think those are support straps for the models that have underseat storage bins.

Makes sense. On my XL, it was one of the first things I removed.

Anyone have a picture of the bins? Is there any dividers?

Google Du Ha
They make aftermarket bins for under and behind the rear seats.
You'll have to remove the "bars" to install them.
They both come with removable foam dividers that are used as rifle racks.

Well first of all... you have to be a SkinnyOldGuy There's a lever that lets the seat backs fold down.

The air damn, spare tire/carrier, brackets etc. I was seeing what the lowest weight I could get my truck to. This was because I reported how much more I liked my previous EcoBoost over the 6.2 and lots said it was because of the weight. So now, down to 1200lbs more pounds than my F150, I still know there is a big difference.

I knew those had to come down somehow. Where is this lever? I have looked and didn't see anything. The wife has skinny arms, I'll have her do it.

** EDIT **
OK, duh... it's right there on the side of the seat back kinda behind by the seatbelt strap. I was looking for a hidden release. My F150 Lariat Ecoboost had like a really hard to get to release that people were making cable pulls to release. I was looking for something hidden and didn't see the lever in plain sight.
