1956 ford panel truck

Where does the gaskets go between the running boards and fender ?

On the panel trucks running board there is a rubber that attaches to the top of it and seals between them and the body.

The original rubber was stapled to the top of the running board to make a seal between the running boards and rocker panels and on past the rear of the door bottom

is it the length of the whole running board ?
