Water is inside, but this is just a temporary setup for now. Still debating what I want to do with it. Planning on a sink for hand washing along one of the walls. It's not hooked into the septic system(too far away), so I don't plan on much more than hand washing and it will go out into a french drain out in the woods. And of course car washing.

Garage door lights and you can also see how I have the main lights set up with the switches. Orange wire up there is for the lift.

Some door details inside.

Need to trim out the man doors inside.

And the windows.

Here's the view out of the windows.

Neighbor across the road.

South neighbor, also in the back to the east. Some years they don't even plant anything in there.

And my close neighbor to the north. You can see it better from the house. Grew up in the city on a 50' lot, but I love being out here with some elbow room!

And the view back to the house from the garage. Yes, I need to do some work to the lil red barn next summer.

Outlets adjacent to the big doors all across the front.

A little heat. Square box on the left is for the air compressor. Lower outlet on the right is for the heating system which right now is a box fan, but will be an oil burning boiler next year. Upper outlet next to the window is 240/20 amp for a window AC. The other 2 GFCI outlets are the first in line for the back wall circuits. All the outlets run through a GFCI first so they are all protected.

Moving outside, here's the back. One outside outlet on each wall except the front. Also some LED spot lights in the back.

I'm not happy with how the corners came out in the front, so didn't do the back yet. I'mm still thinking about how I want to finish this off yet. Gutters are all 6 inch, my second contractor job on this project. They drain about 25' back into the woods through a trench I dug when I did the electric trench. Trenches are filled with gravel, so they help drain things away from the building.

The rear man door. And my hillbilly table!

Same side looking from the front. Nice to keep the utility trailer out of the weather too!

Front view from the side.

Lights like this over the doors. I would have liked to find some real vintage barn lights, but they are quite pricey! Chinese sorta lookalikes.

And the north side overhang area. 5 of these lights on each side, enough to do some basic things under there at night.

The front man door got a keyless entry.

That's about it. Still a lot to get done, but there is light at the end of the tunnel!

It's rated up to 125 amps, but came with a 100 amp breaker in it. It has a lot of space in it, caught it on a clearance deal at either Lowes or HD for $45 with 4 breakers. I did a lot of shopping around for supplies!

It is an 8500 and it should work with your size door. I've only had them in for a month or so, but so far they are grrrrreaaaat!

Love that type overhead door openers-----very compact and probably last a lifetime longer than the typical belt or chain-drive types.

Those neighbors are almost too close.........!

Just a random thought on the door insulation, adding insulation probably isn't going to increase the weight all that much but it might be worth rechecking the spring assist/ door weight ratio after it's installed.

I did think about that and checked the balance. It will still stay put opened 4' or higher. Feels a tad heavier below that point, but I think it will be OK. Got 2 doors done today before the wife came out wanted to split some firewood on this 50 degree day. Groundhog saw his shadow here for sure.

I'm using a 5 ton wall mount AC &heat unit. It's 70 degrees in here now. My shop is 30x40. It has 7.5 inch walls with 6 inches of fiberglass insulation. I have the same in the roof. My only mistake was using a rollup door. I want to change it to a insulated garage unit.. I have heavy blankets covering the rollup now. It really cut the heat loss.
