51Ford4x4
I am building a 51 Ford short bed 4x4 using a stock frame boxing it in 3/4 of the way back from the front.
The axles are out of a 87 army blazer ( Dana 44 front, 12 bolt rear, six lug pattern the axle shafts on both front and fear are bigger do to army using them as a 3/4 ton class set up )
Any ideas on front spring mounts will help and thanks I will get some pics of it when I get some close ups of my project.
And thanks for any help.

Welcome. Below is one of the better examples of a 4x4 conversion using modern pieces. The Bronco used gave near original track width while your Blazer may be wider. Stu

My wife's '54 F250 was converted using a Suburban drivetrain.
The truck has the stock frame minus the original spring hangers and shackles.
Right know it has the stock Suburban 2500 2-leaf pack springs in the front and I think 6 or 8 leafs on the rear.
It has custom made spring hangers for the front of the springs using steel plate and custom made rear mounted shackles.
I need to replace the front springs with a more arced spring due to the clearance of the diff and exhaust pipe coming off the SBC header.
I will try to post some pics.
